The issues and needs we are seeking to address through this project had been identified during our work with young people and during a number of consultations that took place in September 2014 in London.
They discussed and agreed that for many of them, the world reduces at their postcode, their neighborhood and sometimes at their city. Most of them have very rarely traveled outside their home town, very few of them traveled abroad. But they all dream to expand their world and grow their abilities and skills.
They are all confident that an international meaningful experience will not only show them how life outside their postcode is, but will also enable them to see their skills used a different context, meet new people and learn about their cultures and day-to-day reality, see new places and became part of new networks and, in the end, acquire and apply new skills.
